Plot Outline: When a rich womans ex-husband and a tabloid-type reporter turn up just before her planned remarriage, she begins to learn the truth about herself.
Plot: Philadelphia heiress Tracy Lord throws out her playboy husband C.K. Dexter Haven shortly after their marriage. Two years later, Tracy is about to marry respectable George Kittredge whilst Dexter has been working for "Spy" magazine. Dexter arrives at the Lords mansion the day before the wedding with writer Mike Connor and photographer Liz Imbrie, determined to spoil things.

Crazy Credits: We know about 2 Crazy Credits. One of them reads:
The foregoing was a fictional account of the development of the HULA HOOP® and the characters bear no resemblance to any real person or business concern. The HULA HOOP® was actually developed by the founders of the toy company WHAM-O®, a true American success story. WHAM-O® was subsequently responsible for the development of the FRISBEE® and numerous other toy products.

Goofs: We know about 6 goofs. Here comes one of them:
Continuity: Midday turns to night during Tracy and Georges poolside conversation.

Trivia: There are 22 entries in the trivia list - like these:
    • Katharine Hepburn asked MGM to cast Clark Gable as Dexter and Spencer Tracy as Mike before she met either of them. Both Gable and Tracy were busy with other projects, so Cary Grant and James Stewart were cast instead.
    • Playwright Philip Barry based the character of Tracy on Katharine Hepburns public image at the time. Shed left her previous studio, RKO, on bad terms, which only worsened her (temporarily) unpopular image.
    • The film was shot in eight weeks, and required no retakes. During the scene where James Stewart hiccups when drunk, you can see Cary Grant looking down and grinning. Since the hiccup wasnt scripted, Grant was on the verge of breaking out laughing and had to compose himself quickly. James Stewart thought of hiccuping in the drunk scene himself, without telling Cary Grant. When he began hiccuping, Grant turned to Stewart saying, "Excuse me." The scene required only one take.
