Plot Outline: Japanese spymaster Prince Daka operates a covert espionage organization located in Metropolis now-deserted Little Tokyo which turns American scientists into pliable zombies.
Plot: In his first screen appearance, the Caped Crusader of Gotham City (belying the lethargic facade of his alter ego Bruce Wayne) battles Dr. Daka, Japanese mastermind of a wartime espionage-sabotage group. Daka has a radium-powered death ray that pulverizes walls, a classic alligator pit to dispose of enemies, and can turn men into electronic zombies who do his bidding and transmit video signals to Dakas lab! Batman has no Batmobile, but there are bats in the Bat Cave...

Crazy Credits: We know about 12 Crazy Credits. One of them reads:
Answer to tonights scrambled movie title: "T-2"

Goofs: We know about 8 goofs. Here comes one of them:
Revealing mistakes: Strings are attached to the bats as they fly around in the cave.

Trivia: There are 10 entries in the trivia list - like these:
    • This serial introduced the underground headquarters, the Batcave, which was later incorporated into the comics.
    • This serial was reissued under the title "An Evening With Batman and Robin" in late 1965. There was no added footage. The program simply consisted of all of the episodes (complete with titles, credits and cliffhangers - exactly as they were shown in theaters in 1943) presented one after the other in one sitting. Contrary to popular belief, this was not done in response to the success of the 1966 "Batman" (1966) TV show. The TV show began on January 12, 1966 and "An Evening With Batman and Robin" was playing in theaters as early as December 10, 1965.
    • Because of the strict serial regulations, Batman and Robin were portrayed as FBI agents in the serial. In the comic strip at the time, however, they were vigilantes. The regulations also prevented the writers from using the Batmans Rogues Gallery, so none of Batmans villains appear in this serial and the one made in 1949.
